Homicide by the Rich and Famous PDF
By:Gini Graham Scott
Published on 2005 by Greenwood Publishing Group

Three decades of controversy in Shakespeare studies can be summed up in a single question: Was Shakespeare one of a kind? On one side of the debate are the Shakespeare lovers, the bardolatrists, who insist on Shakespeare's timeless preeminence as an author. On the other side are the theater historians who view modern claims of Shakespeare's uniqueness as a distortion of his real professional life. In Shakespeare Only, Knapp draws on an extraordinary array of historical evidence to reconstruct Shakespeare's authorial identity as Shakespeare and his contemporaries actually understood it. He argues that Shakespeare tried to adapt his own singular talent and ambition to the collaborative enterprise of drama by imagining himself as uniquely embodying the diverse, fractious energies of the popular theater. Rewriting our current histories of authorship as well as Renaissance drama, Shakespeare Only recaptures a sense of the creative force that mass entertainment exerted on Shakespeare and that Shakespeare exerted on mass entertainment.

Mental Health Consultation in Nursing Homes PDF
By:Michael A. Smyer,Diane Brannon,Margaret D. Cohn
Published on 1990-12 by NYU Press

First published in 1991, Faces of Latin America has become the standard introductory text on the region. Widely used in teaching, it is also an accessible book for the general reader or traveler to the region. This edition has been extensively updated and reorganized with new photos, sidebars, charts, and graphs. Faces of Latin America celebrates the vibrant history and culture of Latin America's people. Duncan Green takes the reader beyond the conventional media coverage of the drug trade, corrupt politicians and military leaders, death squads, or guerrilla movements familiar to us on the nightly news. Faces of Latin America examines some of the key forces—from conquest and the growth of the commodity trade, military rule, land distribution, industrialization and migration to civil wars, the debt crisis, neoliberalism and NAFTA—shaping the region's political and social history. Green also analyzes the response to these transformations—the rise of freedom fighters and populists, guerrilla wars and grassroots social movements, union organizing and trade movements, liberation theology, and the women's movement, sustainable development and the fight for the rainforest, popular culture and the mass media—providing a fascinating and unparalleled portrait of the continent.

Evidence-based Practice in Nursing PDF
By:Peter Ellis
Published on 2016-05-10 by Learning Matters

Do your students ever struggle to grasp what exactly constitutes evidence or struggle to see how it applies to practice? Would you like them to feel more confident about critiquing evidence? The need for an evidence base for nursing practice is widely accepted. However, what constitutes evidence and how nurses might apply it to practice is not always clear. This book guides nursing students through the process of identifying, appraising and applying evidence in nursing practice. It explores a wide range differing sources of evidence and knowledge, and helps students to develop key skills of critiquing research and using evidence in clinical decision making.
